A wonderful fantasy. Well worth the read. Perhaps it’s a good idea for us adults to step back from time to time and remember our youth and the books we read back then. Maybe I’m sentimental but these journeys into lands such as Sylver have always intrigued me.

The text is dense and utilizes many difficult words. The story is exciting and fun, but reading it was a task.
Returns you to your youth when you BELIEVED. Wonderful, engaging and bittersweet.
If you like Laini Taylor's Daughter of Smoke and Bone or Siri Pettersen's Odinsbarn, you'll love this. Whimsical and well-written with an inventive storyline. Eleven year-old Lindelinn Rosenquist suddenly finds herself in a hidden world of lost pets and nightmares and an adventure full of puzzles to be solved and danger to overcome. Reminescent of of C.S. Lewis's Narnia and its talking animals. Suitable for older children as well, might be a bit scary for children below 8-10.
I loved the book. It will sell for kids of all ages (I am 11. So basically I'd say 9 to 13) I loved it and will be reading more booked like this.

This book was amazing. I was hooked right away, and the author keeps you interested. I couldn't wait to finish it and then didn't want it to end.
A Fantastic Book! I am a 50+ adult and read this for a children's lit class and was swept away into a world of talking animals described so vividly that I felt I was a child again. Its descriptions and language were mystical and beautiful. The characters were well developed and the story was riveting. I will never forget the courageous Rufus the Vole, or the winter prince.
